On my way to Carrefour, menemukan tulisan “KKR PGTI”. Definitely pasti acara gereja, tapi gereja yang mana ya? Gak pernah dengar gereja PGTI.
Selidik punya selidik (baca: google), ketemu ternyata “Persekutuan Gereja-Gereja Tionghoa di Indonesia”
Oh…

It’s Saturday. And my radio is playing another 70′s/80′s song: “I’ve Never Been to Me” Sung by Charlene, as her one-hit wonder. Has a nice melody, mellow, and interesting lyrics, a bittersweet truth about life.
Wikipedia:
The female version is sung to a housewife who wishes that she could trade her everyday life for the exciting, fantastic life led by the singer. The singer tells of some of the highlights of her life, but the tone is bittersweet and she wishes that someone had told her what she is telling the listener. She has learned what is important, but now it is too late. She finds her life hollow and without purpose, having lost her real self years before — the “me” she has never been to, is the life that she would have led if she hadn’t been lured away by false ideas. My wife knows this song as well, interestingly, the Chinese/Mandarin version of it. Probably from the late Teresa Teng!
There’s an excerpt from last.fm as well (link).
Another song that I like is “I Know Him So Well” – Whitney Houston feat. Cissy Houston (from the album “Whitney”) or the one sung by Elaine Paige. Whitney version not available in last.fm (not found yet); Elaine’s can be found there.
(Turns out to be a song from a musical, as Wikipedia said)

– to many reference to Wikipedia. Need to work out more sources (later, lah).
(This is a long due post, been sitting in in my Draft folder forever, so I decided this is the time to finish it…)
I had a chance to talk with several wonderful friends over the past few months. One of them is the head for internal strategic consulting unit of an agro-business company. The other is a young colleague in my department with big plans. Another guy is an ex-boss who’s moved to a different company. Then there’s this trainer/consultant.
One thing in common is that they all have a strong vision and living the vision.
When we don’t have a clear aim in life, most of the time we will be confused when making decisions. Sidetracked by distractions. We will live in continued drift, achieving less, and not fulfilling what God has intended for us. Probably at the end disappointed by our own lives… wishing we had done many other things instead of the ones that we accomplished.
Speaking of experience, in my case, there are several things that potentially sidetracks me: Money. Complacency. Hastiness. Wants.
I will detail it further. When I have time.
But bottom line: it should must begin with a vision.
