New place. Empty chair… No laptop yet. So I can spend my time reading, which is a luxury at this time.
First day in new office is always like that. A bit ineffective. I don’t know if I’m realistic enough to expect that working equipment is ready by the first day…
Secondly, I need to get my targets and KPI clear, working plan, build my networks, and so on. So much things to do…
So, as one of the highlights of our event (see my prev. post), my office invited one famous Indonesian motivator. Tung Desem Waringin. An Anthony Robbins graduate. His session was good, amusing, and surprisingly motivating. Considerin this is my third time listening to him. I did learn something new (and I can now recite his favorite joke, hearing it a couple of times). What did I learn? Right emotion, take action, create results, change destiny. (Save the cheerleader, save the world). But understand the circle of control and influence. Don't blame, excusesssss, and justify, there are only for the loser, liar, and lazy people. And finally learn (stole ideas) from the best by observe, copy, modify. Salam dahsyat dan guncang bumi!
